Oh Boy

Following a rock and roll concert at the Astoria Theatre in 1978 Richard Leyland the producer secured a televised version with ATV. So in 1979 and 1980 Jack Good';s Oh Boy was featured again on television 20 years after its first success in 1959

Wall Street Crash

Following Oh Boy, in March 1980, Keith formed the singing group Wall Street Crash. The original members had all appeared in Oh Boy. The personnel were Ricky Piper, James Graeme, Paul Felber, Colin Copperfield, Sean Harris, Mary Dunne, Jean Rich and Sharon Skelton. They rehearsed for four weeks and launched the results at the Country Cousin Club in Parsons Green, London. They went on to be a well known television and cabaret act in the UK and Europe and appeared on three Royal Command performances. They released a number of albums in the UK and Europe. Spitting Image

I was responsible for the spoof music for the South Bank Show Tribute to Ronnie Hazlehurst. Series 3 Episode 6 1986. imdb. Ronnie was head of music for the BBC and was a fine conductor as well as a prolific composer. I'm not sure he ever forgave me for the spoof. Guardian obit.

Max recorded a Christmas Song, Merry Christmas - Santa Claus. I thought I'd written the tune but I'm credited as producer on the single - read more. I barely remember the session but I do recall that it's Guy Barker on piccolo trumpet and that Matt Frewer (Max) was a nice guy.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire

The TV game show that changed TV game shows forever. Made by Celador, it began life in 1998 and went on to play in over 100 territories simultaneously. It certainly made millionaires for its creators. The music was written by Keith & Matthew Strachan over a space of six weeks and broke new ground by being played virtually throughout the programme - in fact whenever the game was in play.
